Tonight is Yalda night. It is the longest night of the year and a celebration for Iranians and other Persian speakers in Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Iraqi Kurdistan and the lands of the close cultures. A celebration where families gather together Yalda celebration is famous for some fruits and food.
Some fruits such as pomegranates, watermelon, dates and nuts are famous. In recent years, many families have been unable to prepare food and fruits for the Yalda celebration. This is one of the signs of poverty and food crisis in these lands of the same culture. This year, our country Iran and other countries with the same culture are going through bitter nights. Our wish is that the long night of our lands ends and the sun of blessing and freedom shines on our lands
