UN warning about Sudan: The confrontation of such a large number of people with famine is unprecedented in modern history.

In a report published on Thursday, October 17, UN experts accused the Sudanese Armed Forces and Rapid Support Forces of using starvation tactics against 25 million civilians in the country. They warned that 97% of Sudanese refugees, along with civilians who have remained in their homes, are facing severe levels of hunger. According to these experts, it is unprecedented in modern history for such a large number of people to face hunger and famine.
