(Tajikistan plans to join AFACI(Asian Food and Agriculture Cooperation Initiative

A meeting between the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Tajikistan, Nigina Anvari, and the Deputy Secretary-General of the Asian Food and Agriculture Cooperation Initiative of South Korea, Kok Hwan, was held in Dushanbe.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Tajikistan, the parties discussed and exchanged views on strengthening cooperation in the development of the agricultural sector during the meeting. Topics included livestock and plant breeding as well as agricultural advisory services.
Additionally, negotiations were held regarding the accession of the Ministry of Agriculture of Tajikistan and the Tajik Agricultural Academy to the organization’s membership. This process is to be carried out in accordance with legal procedures through diplomatic channels.
It is worth noting that the Asian Food and Agriculture Cooperation Initiative, as a regional organization dedicated to promoting sustainable agricultural development and technological cooperation among member countries, plays a crucial role in disseminating innovative agricultural technologies, facilitating knowledge exchange, and building capacity across the Asian region.
